1 Introduction
The Chair of the DH, Social Care and Public Health Transition Board asked all Board members to review minutes to ensure they are an accurate reflection of the previous meeting.
2 Programme Overview
The SRO for DH Transformation presented an overview of the programme to the Board. The update included a summary of programme status and progress.
The Chair emphasised to Board members that she wanted to have an open culture where staff feel comfortable raising concerns or reporting risks.
3 Public Health Stocktake
The Transition Managing Director for Public Health England (PHE) presented the Public Health Stocktake to the Board. Issues discussed included people transition, PHE’s relationship with the NHS Commissioning Board (NHS CB) and PHE’s relationship with local government.
The Chair commended the Programme on the progress made in recent months.
4 Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Stocktake
The Interim Director for Emergency Preparedness and Olympics presented
the EPRR Stocktake to the Board. Issues discussed included delivery of the
Programme’s work through PHE and NHS CB, future governance
arrangements and continuing with business-as-usual during transition.
The Chair commended the Programme on the progress made in recent months.

The Chair would like to see material on transition costs brought to future DH, Social Care and Public Health Transition Board meetings.

The next meeting will be held on Monday 25 June 2012
